Our Vision
Our Story
Since 2023, Harvest Hill Homeschool Co-Op has existed to support Christian homeschooling families in our community. As this community has grown, the desire for a school has become increasingly evident. We have recognized a strong desire among families for a balance of family time, Christian community, and academic excellence. In response, a steering committee was formed to pursue the establishment of a University Model®
school. We were drawn to a model that protects and strengthens families while emphasizing lasting discipleship, rather than simply adding faith to education. As homeschooling regulations in Manitoba become more restrictive, registering as a school allows us to continue serving homeschooling families by offering part-time enrollment and programming under our legal umbrella. This approach preserves family choice and flexibility while providing added support, resources, and community, all within a structure that remains compliant with provincial requirements.

We began the process of registering as an independent school with Manitoba Education. As the first University Model® school in Canada, this journey has come with unique challenges. However, after a year of advocacy and perseverance, we have been granted a school code and are excited to launch with limited enrolment in Fall 2026. We will continue to operate as a ministry of Roblin Evangelical Mission Church and look ahead with anticipation to see what God will do. At the heart of this ministry is a clear purpose: this school is not a reaction to the world around us, but a response to the Lord’s calling on our families and our community. It is not about building a “better” school or retreating from cultural challenges, but about pursuing the heart of God—for our children to know Him and to make Him known.
Why 'Harvest Hill'
The name Harvest Hill is inspired by two biblical verses that guide our mission. "Harvest" comes from Matthew 9, where Jesus says, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers arefew”. Just as workers are needed in the harvest field, our school is committed to equipping students to go out and make a difference in the world, using their God-given talents for His glory.
The word "Hill" comes from Matthew 5:14, where Jesus says, “You arethelight of the world.Atown built on a hillcannot be hidden.” At Harvest Hill, we aim to raise students who shine brightly for Christ in every sphere of life. We believe that like a city on a hill, our students are called to be shapers of society—impacting their communities, workplaces, and the world with their faith, integrity, and service to others.
Together, these scriptures inspire us to provide a Christ-centered education that prepares students not only spiritually but also academically, emotionally, and socially to boldly serve the Lord, bringing light to the world and making an eternal impact wherever they go.
