Family Ministry

The Family Ministry department is a unique aspect of our school that serves to protect the school’s vision ofmaking disciples. We aim to keep parents confident, competent, encouraged and happily involved with theirchildren’s education. Some aspects of family ministry that you can expect at Harvest Hill Christian Academy in 2025/26 are:parent education and encouragement, student-led worship and small groups on campus, family prayer,community service and missions, as well as counselling available for families who desire specific assistance.This department will also enforce the school’s written standards of behaviour, approaching studentcorrection from a spiritual formation and personal growth point of view that involves the whole family.

Family Involvement in Community Life

Our school is a community - a family - and as such, we love when everyone brings their gifts to the table to serve one another. Some of the opportunities families will have to get involved in will be:

Classroom Helpers
Campus Day Set Up and Clean Up
Committees: Playground/Green Space Development, Fundraising, and Connected-Families
Recess Supervision
Lunch Room Set Up, Supervision and Clean Up

Student Life Activities

Our students enjoy a variety of extra and co-curricular activities, including after-school dance, athletics,learning fairs, musical theatre, seasonal celebrations, and field trips. We are registering with MHSAA, whichwill enable our grade 9 sports teams to compete provincially, if there is enough interest to build teams. Weare excited to see this aspect of our program continue to grow. If you have a heart for coaching or starting aclub, please reach out!
